Volkswagen OEM Oil Filters Online
When to Change Your Volkswagen Oil Filter
Is it time for an oil change? Did you hit another 3,000-mile mark? Maybe it's been 3 months since your last oil change. At any rate, if you're seeing the signs and symptoms of a bad oil filter (e.g., an engine oil warning light, a loss of oil pressure, and the engine not running as well), it's probably time to change the filter.
Replacement can get pricey, though, especially if you shop OEM oil filters at a Volkswagen dealer, where you may have to pay MSRP. Order one from an aftermarket parts store, though, and it could be lower-quality. Our store, though, has OE-quality replacements for around $13 to start.
Before you replace the filter, be sure to inspect it. You can access the medium, housing, and gasket from underneath the engine compartment, it not above the bay. (Check your owner's manual for more information on its location.) How to change one is easy. Just be sure you buy a Volkswagen oil filter for the job. It'll be designed to fit the model you drive perfectly. We carry the genuine article at a steep discount, sometimes up to 35% off retail. Aftermarket oil filters, however, may or may not fit right, and they may not work as well as an OEM replacement to boot.
Buy now, and don't forget any air filters or fuel filters you may need.
